For those of you who enjoyed the film 101 Dalmatians (1996), you must be familiar with the quirky designer character named Cruella, who really hates Dalmatians. This time, Cruella's story was made into a separate film by Disney starring Emma Stone as the young Cruella.
The film Cruella tells of a smart and rebellious young woman named Estella (Emma Stone). Estella lived in the City of London, England in the 1970s. Estella was born with half white and half black hair which distinguishes her from most girls in the world.
Estella since childhood dreamed of becoming a famous designer. Unfortunately, that dream ran aground due to a heartbreaking incident that he experienced in his past. When she was 12 years old, Estella had to lose both her parents, also lost some of her wealth and fell into poverty . Since then, Estella has lived as a thief with her two criminal partners Horace (Paul Walter Hauser) and Jasper (Joel Fry).
Once upon a time, Estella's dream of becoming a designer came true by becoming an employee at the famous fashion house The Baroness, owned by the cold-handed designer Mrs. Baroness (Emma Thompson). Thanks to her talent in fashion, Estella was appointed as Mrs Baroness' right-hand man and was also entrusted with designing The Baroness collection.
But Estella is a figure who doesn't like being someone else's errand boy and wants the stage for herself. Plus the incident involving the Baroness Lady and the red-eyed locket left by her late mother. Estella finally turns into a cold-hearted figure who is unforgiving. She also changed her name to Cruella de Vil.
